Aadhaar is a unique 12-digit Identification number issued by UIDAI to individuals for the purpose of establishing unique identification of every single person. This card is unique for every individual who enroll or apply to get his/her Aadhaar number. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is the regulatory body on the behalf of government.

Aadhaar convokes analytical and biometric information (photograph, ten fingerprints and iris) of each individual to establish uniqueness of individual. Aadhaar number or a unique ID number is given to each and every member of family. Aadhaar card is not a smart card. This number is available online and offline verification.
