Uttar Pradesh government headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented the budget of the state in the state assembly for the financial year 2020-21 on Tuesday.
UP Budget 2020-21 presented during the state assembly was worth Rs 5,12,860.72 crore FY 2020-21. This year’s budget is Rs 33,159 crore more than UP Budget 2019-20. UP Budget 2020-21 has provisions worth Rs 10,967.87 crore for new schemes.
UP Budget 2020-21 was presented by State Finance Minister Suresh Khanna. According to UP Budget 2020, a total of Rs 5,00,558.53 crore are estimated as receipts. This Rs 5,00,558.53 crore includes Rs 77,990.70 crore by way of capital receipts and Rs 4,22,567.83 crore by way of revenue.
Out of the above mentioned Rs 4,22,567.83 crore revenue receipt, Rs 3,18,884.17 crore will be received by way of tax revenue share and Rs 1,52,863.17 crore by way of the state’s share in the central taxes.

Provisions for new schemes – Rs 10,967.87 crore
Provisions for Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyaan – Rs 4,000 crore
Provisions for Kashi Vishwanath Mandir – Rs 200 crore
For Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan Shiksha Protsahan Yojna – Rs 1,200 crore
For Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) – Rs 5,791 crore
For flyovers bypasses, intersections in cities – Rs 170 crore
For Smart City Project in Lucknow, Kanpur and other districts of the state – Rs. 20,000 crore.
For Ganga Expressway (from Delhi to Prayagraj) – Rs 2, 000 crores
For Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System – Rs 900 crore
For Divyang Pension Yojna – Rs 621 crore.
For metro facilities in Gorakhpur and other cities – Rs 200 crore
For Kanpur Metro – 358 crores
For Agni Mission – Rs 10 crore.
For Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana – Rs 292 crore
For Jal Jeevan Mission – Rs. 3,000 crores
For Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute (SGPI) – Rs 820 crore
For Cancer Institute – Rs 187 crore
For cybercrime – Rs 3 crores
For Jewar Airport – Rs 2,000 crores
For UP Police and forensic institute – Rs 20 crore

Moreover, every district in UP will have Yuva Hub for youth employment. Uttar Pradesh government has allocated Rs 50 crore for creating job opportunities. The UP Budget 2020 is also proposing a Law University in Prayagraj and Ayush University in Gorakhpur. Besides, three new universities will also come up in Saharanpur, Azamgarh and Aligarh.
