The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot presented the state budget in the assembly on Thursday, 20th February 2020. This is the second budget of the Congress government, which came to power in the state in December 2018. Despite various challenges, efforts are being made for uninterrupted development in the state.
These resolutions are healthy Rajasthan, prosperous farmers, the welfare of women, children and elderly, capable labourers, youth-students, education, water power and roads, skills and technology, he added.
The Rajasthan Budget 2020 is based on seven resolutions. These resolutions include:
- Nirogi Rajasthan
- Prosperous Farmers
- Women and Child Welfare
- Capable Labourers, Students and Youth
- Water and Electricity
- Skill and Technology
Presenting the budget for FY2020-21 in the Rajasthan Assembly, Gehlot referred to the public welfare measures in the last budget and said that his government has tried to present a concrete action plan in this budget also.
Rajasthan Budget Updates 2020
The state Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot has levied no new tax in the budget. He has announced to fill 53,151 new vacancies. He has announced a rebate of Rs 130 crore in different kinds of taxes. State’s share in the central taxes has been reduced by Rs 10,362 crore.
The budget is said to be an inclusive budget keeping the views and suggestions of the farmers in mind.

A major consideration is given to women, students, youth, industrial and business organisations and civil society. The health sector is one of the focus areas in the budget for which the government has allotted over Rs 14,533 crore.
