To provide equal opportunity for education to the economically weaker sections from the Minority Community of the country, the Central Government under the Ministry of Minority Affairs is offering Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship for meritorious girl students.
Under Hazrat Begum Scholarship, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India will provide a scholarship of Rs 5000 to the girl students of class 9 and 10 and Rs 6000 to the girl student of class 11 and 12.
The government is now inviting the application form for Minority Scholarship 2020. Maulana Azad Education Foundation is working as a nodal department for Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship 2020 Scheme.
MOMA Scholarship 2020
The special Minority Scholarship 2020 is regulated for the girls from six notified minority community viz. Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, and Parsis.
Maulana Azad Education Foundation has released a notification to start the registration process for Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship 2020. Girls from the minority community who belong to economically weaker sections can apply for Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship 2020 before the last date.
The girl whose family’s annual income not more than Rs 2 Lakh per annum can apply for Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship online.

Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship Eligibility
- Girls studying in 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th standard who belong to the minority community (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Parsis) are eligible for Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship Scheme.
- The girl from the minority community whose family’s annual income is not more than Rs 2 Lakh per annum are eligible for Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship.
- Minimum 50% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate in previous class/standard exam are required to apply for Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship.
- One girl from a family is eligible to apply for Minority Scholarship Scheme
- The scholarship can be availed for studying in India only. No scholarship will be provided for overseas education.

Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship Selection Process
The selection of the beneficiary for Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship 2020 will be done on the basis of income criteria, attached documents, and the marks secured by the candidate.
Once the information is submitted, the Nodal Agency releases the merit list of selected candidates.
